Description

XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is a sterile injection that comes as a lyophilized powder supplied in a single-dose vial for reconstitution. Each vial of XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA) contains 100 Units of Clostridium botulinum type A neurotoxin complex, human albumin (1 mg), and sucrose (4.7 mg) in a sterile, freeze-dried form without a preservative. 

The botulinum toxin complex is purified from the culture supernatant and then the active ingredient is separated from the proteins (hemagglutinins and non-hemagglutinins) through a series of steps yielding the active neurotoxin with molecular weight of 150 kDa, without accessory proteins.

XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is an acetylcholine release inhibitor and a neuromuscular blocking agent indicated in adult patients for the temporary improvement in the appearance of moderate to severe glabellar lines associated with corrugator and/or procerus muscle activity, moderate to severe lateral canthal lines associated with orbicularis oculi activity, moderate to severe forehead lines associated with frontalis muscle activity and, The safety and effectiveness of dosing XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA) with more frequently than every 3 months have not been clinically evaluated.

XEOMIN® (incobotulinumtoxinA) is contraindicated in individuals with known hypersensitivity to any botulinum toxin preparation or to any of the components in the formulation and when injected in the presence of infection at the proposed injection site.
